About the position

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for managing the recruitment process within the Trenton Office of Vitality Staffing. This role involves reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, and ensuring that qualified candidates are placed in appropriate job positions. The Staffing Coordinator must also maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations while fostering effective communication with applicants, employees, and hiring managers.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-screening and interview candidates for job placements.
  • Maintain a large pool of qualified candidates to fill positions and back-up positions.
  • Ensure timely filling of all job orders.
  • Answer phones in a professional manner.
  • Complete clerical functions such as making copies, scanning, and filing.
  • Enter all employee information into the database.
  • Ensure employee files are complete and compliant with regulations.
  • Interact with client managers and supervisors with prior approval from the branch manager.
  • Maintain a professional business relationship with clients.
  • Provide daily dispatch updates to the owner on all orders.
  • Conduct quarterly meetings for associates regarding dress-code and conduct standards.
  • Report accidents, incidents, and harassment claims to the owner.

Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of legal implications related to hiring, retention, and termination.
  • Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity laws and employment contracts.
  • Effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential information.
