The Receiving Department also known as Inbound, is the first step in the warehousing process. Receiving refers to the process of deliveries, unloading and storing inventory within the warehouse. The Receiving department consists of receivers, unloaders, putaway, runners and general labor.
Receiving Clerk Duties
s Responsible for tracking incoming shipments and verifying them against schedules and invoices. They inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and ensure counts match inventory records. Working closely with the receiving team, they help maintain efficient unloading procedures and accurate inventory control. Compliance with any and all applicable rules, regulations, disclosure, reporting and labeling requirements concerning product content and shipping is major responsibility of role.
• Handles all inbound and outbound paperwork.
• Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned
Receiving Clerk Position Requirements:
• Intermediate skills in Outlook
• Ability to write professional correspondence
• Read, write and understand English and Spanish is a MUST.
• 1-2 years prior experience in logistics, shipping & receiving (invoicing experience a plus)
• Attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines
• Maintain clean, safe work and follow all safety protocols and company procedures
• Contact customers for needed information
• Ability to perform mathematical functions.
• 8 Hour sedentary work shift
• Reliable transportation
