Box Truck Driver

Drive a smaller to medium Box Truck/commercial vehicle (ranging from16-26 feet) across local/regional streets in New Jersey and possibly Tri-state area highways.

Complete thorough pre-trip, in-route, and post-trip of box truck’s inspections (breaks, lights, tires, cargo connections, and/or refueling and cleaning as needed).

Plan safe and efficient all local routes/runs between our locations (Secaucus, North Bergen and now Teterboro), and/or Tri-state routes if needed.

Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.

*Most of the time manually loading, securing, and unloading freight/boxes of wine/liquor. And also verify safe loading/unloading of larger loads that was done by warehouse staff.

Always re-verifying/counting loads/cases for accuracy.

Maintain clean compliance records, delivery receipts, delivery freight logs, and communicate trip progress/runs directly with dispatchers.

Safe operation of the assigned box truck 100% of the time- NO ECEPTIONS. Must follow ALL safety procedures.

Effective and timely communication with dispatchers on a daily basis.

Report ANY accidents/incidents immediately.

Report ANY mechanical issues/problems immediately.

Work respectfully with ALL Western Employees, Management, Company Officers, Security, Vendors, and Customers. ALWAYS ensuring their safety and your own safety.

Job Requirements:

Must have a valid Driver's License and must provide an abstract of driving records/certified Motor Vehicle Records. (Must have clean driving records).

Must have at least two to three years of work experience with driving a Box Truck across regional/local NJ streets and or around the Tri-state area.

Ability to pass a regular drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check.
